The State had military posts built in strategical areas of Dersim before 38 Dersim Operation which was made to assimilate Kurdish – Alevi – Kizilbas identity. One of the military posts was built by Germans in Dersim city centre in 1937. The military post also was used as a shelter for the soldiers making preparations of the operation in 1938. Nowadays the historical military post has become a shelter of indigent people of the city.
